Bio
Dr. Ken Gall is a Professor in Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Before joining Georgia Tech in July 2005, he was an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder and a post-doc at Sandia National Laboratories.Research
Professor Gall's technical expertise pertains to the mechanical behavior of materials for use in emerging technologies. He has extensive experience in multi-scale experimental and computational methods in materials science and mechanical engineering. His specific interests include metallic and polymer biomaterials, nanometer scale materials, and mechanically active materials. He has published approximately 130 peer-reviewed papers, given over 120 professional talks, and served as a reviewer for over 40 different science and engineering journals. His research and consulting activities have been supported by approximately $5.5M. He has provided extensive consulting services on materials science and technology for numerous law firms, industries, national labs, and the United States military.
